ContactsLaw supports arbitrary tagging of many types of items (e.g. contacts, matters, documents, etc). Tags allow these items to be grouped/categorised for any purpose. Multiple tags can be applied to an item.

Recommendations

  • Tags should be short and concise
  • Use all lowercase where possible
  • Prefer the singular form of a word

Usage

When adding tags, the most frequently-used tags will appear as suggestions. You can also filter existing tags by typing all or part of the name.

Clicking a tag in the Desktop App will display a list of all other items that have the same tag.

You can test for the presence or absence of tags using expressions, such as in document templates and processes. The latter can also be used to add or remove tags.

You can also search for items by matching against tags.
