The navigation pane provides access to the various views available within a particular tab in the Desktop App.
It is presented as a tree, with related views grouped/collapsed under a common heading (e.g. billing).
Some views (e.g. documents) allow further navigation, such as to specific folders or alternative presentation modes.
Personalisation
You can drag to change the order of different views for a given type of tab (contact, matter, etc). The Desktop App remembers your preferences and will use the same ordering for all items of the same type.
You can also change the default view (normally Summary), which is displayed when opening the tab, by right-clicking and choosing the Set As Default View command.
Use the Reset Preferences command to restore the original ordering and default view.
