In ContactsLaw, a dependency is created whenever there is an association between two resources, such as a contact and a document.

Generally, dependencies prevent those resources from being deleted (as this could have unintended consequences). However, in the case of duplicates, it may be possible to substitute the outgoing resource with an existing one.

You can list dependencies for contacts, matters and documents. For other types of resources, a summary of the dependencies is shown if you try to delete them.
