A role (with respect to documents) is a subscription-specific label that can be assigned to contacts in order to represent the parties to a document.

Built-In Roles

Some roles are defined by the system and carry a special meaning:

  • From - The author/sender. Defaults to the current member when generating documents.
  • To - The addressees/recipients. Defaults to the client or current contact when generating documents.
  • CC - Carbon copy recipients (visible to all recipients).
  • BCC - Blind carbon copy recipients (not visible to other recipients).
