How-To:Quote
ContactsLaw provides a comprehensive billing creation and accounting system. One of its functions is creating billing quotations on certain products and potential disbursements. Users can see the updated quotation and billing data within the system.
The below guide will explain the key steps in creating a quote:

From the Actions dropdown menu, select New.
2. Specify Options
Select your desired options:
- Current Product - This option shows what kind of product or services you want to quote such as an affidavit or trials.
- Displayed Quote - Quotes should be active as this is one thing that is going to determine how the next invoice gets created.
- Date of Quote - Setting the date when you issue the quote. Date can be past, present, or future.
- Bill to - This option is for whom you will issue the quote and for whom you will send the invoice.

- Other - This option is for any item you want to add that isn't covered by other products or disbursements or discounts and this is basically a free form description.
4. Amounts and GST
After choosing a certain item, the amount has been pre-populated and that's because the work group says that this is the right amount that should be charged for that. If for some reason you wanted to do a special deal on this matter, you may change the amount.
5. Final Steps
Counter the amounts stated in each item and if there are changes with the prices, you may edit them by double clicking the amount.
When you are finished, click the Save & Close button.
