How to Record Time

There's two main ways that you'll have an entry point into time recording most of the time it will happen implicitly whenever you do certain activities in ContactsLaw.

Time Recording by Software:

  1. Open the app and go to “My Subscription”.

  2. Go to the “Billing” section and click the “Timed Activities”.

  3. Then it will show the list of descriptions that you can choose and how you describe the time you want to record.
    Note: If you operate multiple businesses within the same subscription, you would have a different time recording policy for each business you operate well.

  4. After choosing a description/s, you are required to fill up the necessary details and click OK.

Manual Time Recording:

  1. Open the app and go to the 'Billing' section.

  2. Click the down arrow and select "Record Time".

  3. The recording starts automatically when the window opens, but you can pause it as needed.

  4. Set the date and start time for the recorded time entry.

  5. Specify the matter related to the time entry.

  6. Add a product instance associated with the matter.

  7. Include a description to detail the work performed during the recorded time.

  8. Add any relevant members involved in the task.

  9. Optionally, add contacts related to the time entry.

  10. Attach any related documents or files to the time entry.

  11. Click "Save and Close" to finalize the time entry.

  12. The recorded time will be accessible under the 'Billing' section, specifically in the 'Time' category.
