Checklist Item
Checklist items are an abstract representation of the key steps or milestones in the life cycle of a matter. They are defined by the workgroup and appear on the Tasks view of each matter.
They can govern (or be governed by) processes, be used to group related task items; or otherwise, treated like a simple checklist.
States
A checklist item can be in one of the following states:
- Not started - The matter has not progressed to this checklist item yet.
- In progress
- Completed
- Not applicable - Since checklist items are determined by the workgroup, some items may not be applicable on certain matters.
Workflow
Checklist items make it possible to design whole-of-life processes that are divided into discrete steps. Each step can define its own entry criteria. Steps are not necessarily linear or sequential, and there may be long periods of inactivity between them. Many different members may be involved at each step.
