External Order

ContactsLaw provides functionality for ordering external services, such as company/land title searches, VOI and others.

Generally, external orders:

• Are recorded on a particular matter
• May have an associated disbursement
• May result in a document being uploaded upon fulfilment

They may have additional properties that depend on the service provider.

Service Providers

The information in this section relates to a pre-release version of ContactsLaw and is not representative of the final product.

Currently, the only supported service provider is InfoTrack. Integration is arranged by mutual agreement between CPMS and the subscriber (who must be an InfoTrack customer).

Orders may be placed using the Desktop App or directly via the InfoTrack website (a matter reference must be supplied).

Upon fulfillment, orders are transmitted to ContactsLaw's servers where they appear as external orders.

The integration can be further configured to automate the recording of disbursements and pre-filling contact/matter details.
