Referral Source
In ContactsLaw, a referral source represents an advertising medium, marketing campaign or other means by which a contact may be referred to a business.
Referral sources have a descriptive name and may either apply indefinitely, or be effective during a particular period only.
They are used to track referral events.
Personal Referrals
All events require a referral source. Where it is desirable to track referrals which can be directly attributed to another contact (not in respect of a specific medium, campaign or initiative), you should consider adding a referral source to represent personal referrals.
This allows such referrals to be meaningfully compared to other sources.
